My 2 Favorite Types of Blog Posts to Help Build Your Home Business

I love sharing strategies that have worked really well for me and my Home Business. So today I want to share with you my 2 favorite types of blog posts, if implemented, will help you to build your home business.

It doesn’t matter what type of home business you’re in, you can implement this right away and you’ll start to have people asking YOU for more.

That’s what I love teaching. I love teaching you how to have a more leveraged home business.

A business where you can attract prospects to you and have them asking you for more.

So how do you do that through blogging?

Blog Post Type #1 – Testimonials and Stories

You have to understand that ‘Facts Tell and Stories SELL’ and how many of us really want to go out there and SELL? About 5% of the population really enjoying Selling. So if you have a home business and one of your goals is to recruit and build a large team, how are you going to do that if you’re limiting yourself to the 5%?

You need to learn how to entertain that masses and to do that you need to try your best to take the selling out of what you’re doing – Even though you ARE in sales….you have to learn how to become a storyteller.

That’s why my #1 types of blog posts is testimonials and stories. However, I actually don’t post it immediately on my blog always. It will come on my social media channels immediately. But you have the opportunity to showcase proof here on your blog about what your product or service has already been doing for others and yourself.

This is a very different angle than trying to sell your prospect on what it could POSSIBLY do for them.

Here’s what it would look like:

You have a few types of blog posts that share a caliber of different testimonials:

  • share an income testimonial and story,
  • you might share a product story,
  • or it might be your personal experience.

You have these posts on your blog and now you can start sharing these with your prospects. Now your prospects can build their interest through other people’s experiences and pretty much sell themselves.

I don’t do any selling in these posts, all I do is sharing my experience. And I include a few links to click, for them who want to learn more if they want to.

Blog Post Type #2 – Training & Coaching

I love sharing things that will help my audience. And because my audience includes my team this is a great way to kick some butt in my team indirectly. This is also a great way to show off your leadership ability.

Keep in mind that people are always looking for leaders to join and if you can showcase this type of blog post on your blog you will be well on your way.

Here’s how it works:

Everyday you’re hopefully learning. At least most people are that are breathing!
In your home business you probably have live meetings, conference calls or private coaching that your upline gives you.
Well in those sessions if you’re plugging into them like you should be, you’ll be learning and hopefully taking notes.

Here’s what you have to remember and I encourage you to write this down:

If it’s a new thought or theory to YOU it’s ALSO going to be NEW to someone else.

So many people think they’re the last person to learn something. Wrong!

Do you know how many trainings I’ve been to and learned something so simple and basic? Then re-shared it in a blog post. Then had a bunch of people tell me it was the best piece of training they’ve ever heard? This happens all the time.

So what I tell all my blog students is never prejudge content and disregard it. When putting together your types of blog posts always included small bits of training and strategies that you’ve learned along the way. It will make you look like a leader and also it will help you to train your team.
